Hi, we’re the team behind Tokyo Yamathon, led by me, Joe Pournovin!
In 2010, we started this event as a small Facebook initiative to merge our passion for challenges with the goal of making a positive impact. The idea was simple: create a unique fundraising event by walking around the entire JR Yamanote Line.Tokyo Yamathon has since evolved into a significant charity event with over 2,000 participants and major sponsors.
Our collective dedication stems from seeing the community unite, push their limits, and support incredible causes and over the years, we've raise funds for various charities, from rebuilding schools after natural disasters to supporting local initiatives.We believe in the power of teamwork and the joy of discovering Tokyo in a new light. Organizing this event allows us to inspire others, make a tangible difference in our community, and enhance and develop our own skills.
