Joe Pournovin is a passionate advocate for community engagement and social impact, serving as the Co-Founder and Event Director of the Tokyo Yamathon. With a deep commitment to making a difference, Joe has been instrumental in growing the Yamathon into a landmark event that combines fitness, exploration, and philanthropy. His leadership has helped raise significant funds for various organizations, driving positive change both locally and globally. Joe's dedication to building a stronger, more connected community through the Yamathon continues to inspire participants and partners alike.
MITSUHIRO HONDA
CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER
Mitsuhiro Honda first became involved with the Tokyo Yamathon in 2014 as a corporate sponsor, initially participating in the event before transitioning to a volunteer role. Drawn by the passion and diversity of the IVG members, Mitsuhiro quickly became a dedicated part of the Yamathon community. His commitment deepened over time, leading him to take on a key leadership role as Chief Strategy Officer and Board Member. In this capacity, Mitsuhiro ensures that participants enjoy the event in a safe and engaging manner while also developing strategies to attract more corporate sponsors. His extensive experience as a corporate professional, participant, and operational volunteer uniquely positions him to contribute to the ongoing success of the Tokyo Yamathon.
HEENA SINHA
PROGRAM MANAGER
After working for over five years in Investment Banking in India, Heena realized a deep passion for creating positive change in the world by collaborating with a talented and equally passionate team. Finding IVG-Japan was the perfect match. Heena was struck by the group's infectious energy and commitment to making a difference. Among various contributions, Heena primarily focuses on the sponsorship and fundraising aspects of events. It has been a life-changing experience to witness firsthand the profound impact the funds raised have on improving people's lives.

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
Charles worked to help sponspor the first Yamathon events while at Symantec, and first participated in the 2011 Yamathon and was immediately inspired to continue the work captivated by the incredible spirit and dedication of everyone involved. Since 2023, Charles has been instrumental in supporting IVG-Japan's branding initiatives, ensuring that the organization's mission and values are clearly communicated and resonate with its audience. This role includes overseeing the development and evolution of the brand identity, maintaining its relevance and impact in a rapidly changing world. He serves as an IVG-Japan board member.

Liv is thrilled to have been invited to join the organizing committee for the 2023 Yamathon! With experience volunteering for large sporting events in England, such as triathlons and marathons, Liv is well-acquainted with the buzz and excitement that these events bring. Zain began working with IVG-Japan to record footage for the 2017 Yamathon. During that event, Zain witnessed firsthand the magic of the Yamathon, experiencing the incredible energy and community spirit shared by the participants and volunteers. It was a remarkable experience to be part of such a meaningful event. Since then, Zain has continued to collaborate with IVG, producing content to increase awareness of the organization's mission and showcasing the impact that events like the Yamathon have on people's lives. VENUE OPERATIONS LEADER
Shal participated in the Half Yamathon in 2023, and fell in love with the overall atmosphere and energy. Driven to contribute to a social cause that Yamathon works for, Shal decided to hop on board overlooking smooth venue operations for the event, by using her Japanese and English bilingual skills. Aki oversees venue operations and vendor relations, ensuring the seamless execution of the event. With a commitment to working closely with sponsors, volunteers, and participants, Aki is dedicated to making this Yamathon a resounding success. IT OPERATIONS LEADER
I joined IVG in 2016 as a website manager and content editor. Shortly after i joined the team, i realized that i was a part of a group who were dedicating their already valuable time and skills to help people all over the world. This inspired me more to help the team in the way i can. Now I advise on websites related to IVG and its events such as Tokyo Yamathon. I also help in creating sponsors banner as well as certificates for Yamathon participants and Volunteers.
